THE POLLARD STORY
Pollard Brothers Manufacturing Company was founded in 1921 by brothers Henry and Bert Pollard, mechanical engineers and war veterans who knew what was needed in the field and factory to maximize the productivity and longevity of their equipment. That knowledge, coupled with their desire to design and manufacture lifetime factory equipment, as well as a genuine need for such high quality heavy duty bench legs, workbenches, mobile carts and general shop equipment led to the company’s early success. The 200 Series Bench Leg, or bridge leg would prove to be the cornerstone on which an expanded product line would develop evolving into today’s dozen product categories and individual styles. Shortly after World War II, Bill Hein- Henry Pollard's Son -In -Law - and Bob Moller, Bill's good friend, joined the company. Bill would handle production and Bob the sales duties. Over the next 40 years they would be responsible for further enhancing Pollard’s success and reputation by adding additional products, such as Machine Tables, Racks, and Cabinet & Steel Plate benches and producing consistently reliable, well manufactured and tough as nails equipment, with a very specific attention to detail and customer service. A new manufacturing facility and warehouse were built at the present day site and as Pollard Brothers continued to grow and develop strong regional relationships (many of which have now lasted for well over 80 years) through distribution, word of mouth and dependability Pollard quality became known worldwide. Presently, Pollard markets it's full line of steel factory equipment through the vast, diversified network of industrial distributors across the world. We enjoy a long held reputation for quality and reliability as exemplified by decades of repeat business from all types of industry such as oil, gas, mining, transportation, utilities, military and general industry, though this is only a portion of what Pollard Brother currently offers. We have recently added Home model Cabinet Workbenches, Machine Tables, Shop Stools and Shelving Units for the Garage and Basement, as well as personalized Home Locker Room Bench Seats featuring our signature cast iron pedestal painted to your specifications. As time has moved on, our product line and production methods have evolved and changed but what hasn't changed over the last 9 decades, and what won't change for the next nine is our desire to make quality, reliable, lifetime equipment, be it for the office, home work shop or factory.
